Ambush Miniatures are looking to expand its range of 28mm miniatures for use in World War II and a little bit beyond. This new project focuses on a line of German prototype tanks that never made it to the battlefield and could be fun for your What If? scenarios on the tabletop.

The War Is Not Over - Ambush Miniatures

The War Is Not Over // Ambush Miniatures

The miniatures from this campaign have been designed for collectors, painters, and wargamers, offering them the opportunity to throw a few more options into the mix for all. This means a range of tanks that are functional for use on the battlefield but could also be fun for collectors and painters who want to try their hand on a prototype tank and the different colour schemes that would come from that experimentation!

E-10 - Ambush Miniatures

All of the six tanks that form the core of the new campaign have been fully designed and the resin moulds have been completed. That means that once you've backed and the campaign comes to an end, the team at Ambush will be able to move forward and get the tanks to you quickly.

E-25 - Ambush Miniatures

All of the miniatures are provided as resin miniatures and give you a good look at the various tanks that were in development as part of the rumbling German war machine. For example, the E-25 was there as a more versatile and dedicated tank killer.

You also have the likes of the Löwe.

Lowe - Ambush Miniatures

Löwe // Ambush Miniatures

The Panzer VII Löwe was a concept that would have surpassed the Tiger II with heavier armour and much larger calibre armaments. This particular tank comes with two different weapon options for you to choose from. As you can see, it is very chunky lad!

If you'd prefer to blast planes out of the skies, then there was also the Flaklöwe.

You can currently pledge to get each of the individual tanks from the project or you can go for the whole bundle if you want to play around with all of the different prototypes. They are a little more on the expensive side but you are going to be getting some rather hefty chunks of resin to build for your games, where World War II simply rumbled on.

All-In Pledge - Ambush Miniatures

The All-In Pledge also comes with the Ardennes figures from Ambush Miniatures and a paint set, which you can use as the basis for painting your new tanks. If you want to see more about the tanks, then make sure to head over to the Kickstarter and explore some of the thinking behind these prototype vehicles.

Whilst these would be good tanks for Bolt Action and the like, I think they would also be perfect for someone looking to kitbash and convert something fun for Konflikt '47. These hulls could be the basis for some very fun Rift-powered technology that could even the playing field for the Axis!

What do you make of this new tank-based project?
