New Hardbot Mechs Join Modiphius’ 6mm Sci-Fi Wargame, Hardwar
August 21, 2026 by brennon
Modiphius are expanding the options available to those diving into Hardwar, the new 6mm Sci-Fi wargame that they publish. There are two new sets of mechs, known as Hardbots in the world of Hardwar, for you to pick up for the European Consortium and the Syndicate.
Aesir Gewehr Hardbots // Hardwar
We start with a set of rather strikingly yellow Hardbots from the folks at Aesir Gewehr. In-world, Aesir-Gewehr are a high-end asset manufacturer, developing Hardbots for the European Consortium. They are the leader in the market, especially in the wake of the launch of their Ironforge Modular Combat System, also known as the Hammer & Anvil System.
This set comes with some very cool-looking mechs for your Hardwar games, each as a multi-part resin kit. You get one Cutter, two Hammers, one Bolt, one Anvil and one Puncher in the set, which you fold into your larger force.
The Aesir Gewehr Hardbots definitely have a more industrial look to them and I was half expecting to see a JCB logo on the side of one of these. They have a very functional look to them, which fits with the idea of them being modular tools for your army to make use of.
The second set of Hardbots comes from Udar Industries.
Udar Industries Hardbots // Hardwar
Udar Systems are the main manufacturer for the Syndicate and are in a constant technological race against Aesir Gewehr. These engineers and scientists are known for their reliability and the massive firepower they can get their Hardbots to churn out alongside state-of-the-art active defence systems.
The Combat Brawlers are fitted out with standardised joint connectors, meaning that you can make changes to their weaponry on the fly in the field, allowing the Hardbots to adapt to any given situation and the foes that you might face.
This set comes with a Buran, two Boris, one Geroy, one Groza and one Udar. These Hardbots give off some great Titanfall vibes in their shape and design. You could imagine their pilots personalising these a lot more, especially amongst the many mercenary companies and private military contractors of the Hardwar universe.
New Hardbots // Hardwar
You can pre-order these new Hardbots now ahead of a full release in November. They will be a great way to expand the options introduced as part of the Starter Sets for Hardwar a few weeks ago.
Which design of Hardbot are you most drawn to?
