Brother Vinni has released a new selection of 28mm scale miniatures for your Historical wargames and perhaps even some Fantasy adventures. These new Spanish Musketeers can be lined up as part of a Firing Line to take down your enemies in a hail of shot.

These new resin miniatures are available for you to pick up from their webstore, expanding on their Spanish collection, which already includes pikemen and some swashbuckling swordsmen. The miniatures are nicely detailed but not so much that they'd be a pain to paint. I think you could do some great work on the guns themselves, fizzling embers on the ends of those strings.

As well as the Spanish Handgunners that are firing, you can also get your hands on Spanish Handgunners who are reloading, working as a backline for your fighting force. Again, the miniatures look great and you could have some fun on all the slashed silks, playing around with different colours in order to represent different principalities.

Of course, they also look great when ranked up, ready to unleash shot at the advancing enemy. As well as being good for your Historical battles, both in Europe and in the New World, these would also be good for use in a Fantasy wargame.

I could see these working as a great unit for games of Warhammer Fantasy Battles and Estalian-themed armies. You could easily use these alongside some more of the range and additional plastic kits to create an excellent army of Estalia for your wargames. Perhaps that could be a good idea for a new Battle March force so you don't have to buy too much?

What do you make of these new black powder-using Handgunners?
