Quest With The Bug Knights By Warp Miniatures On Patreon
May 5, 2026 by brennon
Warp Miniatures have a fun new set of 3D printable miniatures for May. The questing begins in earnest with this new set of miniatures, the Bug Knights! A great option for those wanting an alternative adventuring party for a Fantasy skirmish game?
The Beetle Knight // Warp Miniatures
All of the miniatures are 32mm scale, as is usual with Warp Miniatures' Patreon offerings and give you a chance to unleash some characterful-looking knights on the tabletop for your Fantasy wargames. If you like games like Hollow Knight, then this might be a fun project for you that could also give you some ideas as to how to paint them.
The Bee Knight // Warp Miniatures
This set of miniatures gives you four of the larger knights, the Beetle, Bee, Butterfly and Snail. Each of them as their own unique design and captures the likeness of the creature in some cool way. I like that the beetle's horns are part of the helmet and the bee has that "ruff" around its neck representing those big, fluffy bodies.
The Butterfly Knight // Warp Miniatures
I think a lot of folks are going to have some fun with the Butterfly Knight and that cloak of wings. That elegant pose works really nicely for a butterfly and you can then go to town with your freehand once you work up the courage. You could also make use of different transfer sheets if you wanted, building them up to create interesting patterns.
The Snail Knight // Warp Miniatures
The slow but purposeful Snail Knight then completes the collection for the larger knights in this collection. I like to think that his shield is made out of an old comrade's shell, protecting him even after his friend's fall. The quirky, crooked spear also works nicely for the feel of the Snail Knight, I think.
As a fun bonus, the set also comes with three glorious Ant Knights who are tiny but vicious!
Bug Knights // Warp Miniatures
Two of them have their swords and shields at the ready, whilst a third is preparing a rock to throw at his enemies! They could work as great companions to the other knights. Even though they might be small, they are very strong! Give them some swarm rules for when they all work together against the same target.
The Bug Knights are available through Patreon this month so if you want to play out your own version of A Bug's Life, this could be your starting point. Was Antz better? I think it might have been.
