As Satyr Art Studio said over on social media, "someone had to sculpt them". They have now released a set of Little Sisters of Purification onto their webstore, giving you a way to run kickass female space warriors with an ace Oldhammer vibe to them.

This is Satyr's take on the Little Sisters of Purification from way back in the day. The set comes with a collection of five female space warriors, armed with some classic automatic firearms and brutal knives. You'll also note that they are taking things seriously, as these ladies are going into battle with space heels on!

The miniatures look great and fit in very nicely with the rest of the range by Satyr Art, which always harks back to those early editions of Warhammer. You've got some great miniatures in the range now covering all sorts of Oldhammer-style favourites and more for those who enjoyed the days of Rogue Trader.

The miniatures are all cast in metal and stand around 29mm to the eye and should be ace for those building cool skirmish forces for a variety of Indie Sci-Fi wargames. Perhaps you have some of the early power armoured female miniatures from the early days of Warhammer and could see these miniatures being a good way to bulk out your collection.

Activists show up, politicize something that used to be an escape from BS, and now we have to fight a culture war in the very hobbies that we used to escape all that nonsense.
“But they’re just models! Y U mad, bro?” Nope. Not anymore, they’re not. Not since they started doing to Warhammer what they did to Star Wars, Marvel, MotU, and all the other male-focused properties out there.
Back in the 90s/00s, these would have been “just models,” because they would have just been put out there purely for the fun of it; now, they’re “statements” against the “toxic patriarchy” who don’t want girls/gays/insert phony victim here playing Warhammer.
Men have always allowed anyone into “their things,” provided they were actually there to participate and enjoy what ever that thing is; what we must never allow, especially in light of the very real deaths of many titans of pop-culture, is the people who only see things as problems that need fixing, because they’re fixing things right into the grave.

I think someone is confusing “GW making female space marines” with “3rd party mini maker makes their own version of legally distinct sisters of battle” hence the “they take away my hobby” rant. I wouldn’t bother giving him any more attention. I’ve read the rant yesterday and decided it’s not worth the hassle. I’m not sure how it was in other parts of the world but we (in our local club) had female attendees ever since the late 90. One of our best painters was a woman. So it never was male focused. And just to drive my point home: Star Wars: Princess Leia being a warrior princes day 1, All the female super heroes and She-Ra. Let him be feeble and unsecure. Don’t award it with your time.

That’s exactly (part of) my point. This modern nonsense about “gatekeeping” certain groups out of the hobby has always been a lie. Anyone has always been welcome, all anyone has ever asked is that you respect the house you’re walking into.
But now, we have people campaigning against these phantom boogeymen who wanted to keep games for boys *only,* and ramrod “inclusivity” by changing and denigrating lore and characters in order to make universes and narratives fit the mold *they* want them to fit.
A couple decades ago, I wouldn’t have had any arguments with these, or any, female Space Marine models — I probably wouldn’t have even bothered noticing them. Hell, a few decades ago, as I’ve argued elsewhere, GW probably could have (and maybe should have) introduced female SMs, because the lore around SMs was still a little more malleable back then and they could have done it without too much hubub.
But since then, that and other lore has been thoroughly concreted, and lately, as we’ve seen in many other popular”geek” properties, once you start disrespecting and retconning the characters and lore to appease the perpetually unhappy, the property doesn’t have long to live. Female Space Marines, sadly, can’t just be innocent fun anymore, because in the realm of 40k, that facet of the lore has been turned into the most contentious political battleground by bad-faith actors claiming that 40k is misogynist.
And “male-focused” does not mean, and has never meant, “no girls allowed;” it simply means “X-Property” was targeted primarily at boys and men, and no one needs to pretend that they don’t understand this. Warhammer, Star Wars, Marvel, etc. despite ALWAYS having female characters and the creators and fans ALWAYS welcoming anyone to enjoy them, were always male-focused, and both men and women loved them from the beginning.
Now, these properties a have been turned into political battlegrounds by people who don’t even care about them; they just want political victories, and once they’re done with whatever properties and characters they’re currently focusing on, they bounce and leave nothing but smoking husks that no one can enjoy.
As for me not participating in the other parts of this site, I’ve been here for years; you’ve seen me here in the comments. No, I don’t go into the forums (here); I come here in the morning, get my wargaming news, and go about my busy day.
I know this is long, but I’m honestly not (furiously) typing this out of anger at y’all — I’ve always had generally positive interactions on this site, even when we disagree (maybe I should just get on the forums if I’m going to wright Tolstoy-length novels) — but for years I’ve watched all the properties I love be destroyed, the male fans (and characters) be demonized, and the OG female fans (and characters) be ignored like they were never there, all so that bitter, unhappy people can claim “X-property” is non-inclusive and misogynistic, just because it happens to be targeted at (but NEVER exclusive to!) males.
I mean, is that the definition of a Troll? Doesn’t use the forum and doesn’t make projects? Seems a little harsh.
