Wargames Atlantic’s Damned Infantry Invades Sci-Fi Tabletops

Wargames Atlantic has now released three new 28mm scale sets for its Sci-Fi wargaming collection. The Damned, previously available as part of a large one-box set, are now coming out in individual plastic boxed sets.

The Damned Infantry // Wargames Atlantic

The first of the sets features the basic Damned Infantry for you to use as the rank and file (fodder) of your Sci-Fi armies. There are twenty-four miniatures in the set, with plenty of options for accessorising them and making them feel like a ragtag band of soldiers corrupted by some dark power.

The Damned Infantry can be armed with various weapons, including standard rifles, SMGs, sniper rifles, pistols, shotguns, flamers, energy rifles, grenade launchers, and more. You even get heavy weapon support in the form of the HMG. There are also options for getting up close and personal with a mix of sharp, bladed implements. How do you think they got those scars?

To give you even more variety within a Damned army of the corrupted, you can also get a set of Damned Female Infantry now as well.

The same mixture of weaponry is included as part of this collection but it most importantly comes with the bodies and heads for you to make female troopers to join your legion of the damned and the downtrodden. Much like with the regular infantry set, you also get loads of accessories for making the squad feel like it has scavenged what it needs to survive against a more powerful enemy on the battlefield.

What I like about both of these sets is that whilst they are primarily for those looking to run an army of Chaos-worshipping scumbags, they could easily be turned into a beleaguered militia that is just trying to stay alive. They could even be a rebel force fighting for what's right rather than what some shadowy spectre in the darkness has told them. All you'd need to do is snip off some of the spikes and you'd be golden.

Last but not least, you can also pick up the plastic set for The Damned Brutes, offering a bit of muscle to proceedings.

The Damned Brutes // Wargames Atlantic

As with the Brutes from the main box set that landed not long ago, you get a good selection of both melee weapons and ranged weapons with which to blow your enemies away. Nine Brutes can be armed with assault cannons, grenade launchers, flamers, shotguns (very big ones), power saws and a mixture of melee weapons which can turn you into a sticky paste or slice you up into sandwich filling. There is also a good array of heads within the set, so you can customise your Brutes.
