About the Project
I have decided to help keep my motivation, to do a weekly update of what I have been doing. This will hopefully stave off the fatigue of the never ending pile of potential, and also reassure me that I am sort of making progress. The project will have a range of miniatures from different genres such as kingdom death monster, burrows and badgers, moonstone, marvel crisis protocol, Star Wars shatterpoint and everything in between. The last count was about 850 miniatures, that need to be painted. Normally they are then stored away but at least they will be completed.

Weeks 40 & 41
Looks like I missed last weeks post so here is another belated update.
I finished the Tomb Kings team, it could’ve been better but they will do.
I then focused on building some more miniatures, so a few more Star Wars shatterpoint minis have been built. I do need to make a concerted effort to paint some of them.
As an update with the amount of miniatures needing painting, my spreadsheet shows as follows:
So still have plenty left to do.
To help I also primed some mire in the recent nice weather. I also started on my Bretonians team for blood bowl. Which I am hating, I have almost packed them away in multiple occasions but here is a WIP,
As I am away next week, I expect little progress
Belated Week 39
Just some more blood bowl miniatures completed.
The team should be finished and based before the end of this week, as just the linemen to go. So should be finished.
Week 38
Not too much done this week but have painted the 4 Tomb Guardians.
just 10 more players and then I can base them.
Also went to Salute and pick up a few models
As you can see there is some Burrows and Badgers, some Black Scorpion miniatures – the king in the frog is pretty cool, some Moonstone, and some Bushido.
so 26 new miniatures to the potential pile. Although the mouse from burrows and badgers and the female warrior from Black Scorpion were free so not sure they should count
Week 37
Moonstone gnomes are done. Sort of. As I was painting one of them I realised I was missing a small piece. So have another on its way. Thanks Mick from goblin king games for sorting it.
’Finished’ gnomes
And an image of the my gnomes together.
I then also built my High elves for blood bowl. Just need them primed and will look to catch up on my blood bowl next – just the 3 official teams to go.
However, first up I have the Blood Bowl Vargheist for the vampire team. I hated this model, it was a c*** to build and I also hated building it. I have a 3rd party 3d printed one which I think has a better sculpt and was more fun to paint. But anyway, here is the final model.
Finally this week also started my blood bowl tomb kings (Khemri) dry undead team.
I started with the tomb guardians and the one of the WIPs is as follows. Still a bit to do it but a decent start
So, at least the numbers are sort of going down.
But going to Salute next weekend so I am sure that I will be completely responsible and only get one or two miniatures. I am sure that will happen.
Week 36 (and a bit)
Life things getting in the way of the important miniature painting, but it is what it is.
All that I completed was the Yoroni model.
My paint job was fine, but my building work was a shocker.
Also worked on my last gnome models for Moonstone, so nearly have the entire completed. So may have to start thinking about how to base them, I won’t, but I might think about it.
These WIPs are turning out alright but may need to adjust a few of my colour choices, or just double down and make the best of it.
Week 35
Even more Moonstone gnomes. Only the Faculty box left to go and then all of the gnomes will be done.
as a palette cleanser before cracking on with them, I decided to some Yoroni from the last argument of kings.
after starting the painting I released what I had job I did of building the mode which sapped all of my enthusiasm, but I am persevering with it.
I also primed some more models for the ongoing future.
Week 34
Even more gnomes for Moonstone.
Bjorn, Loci and Billy
i tried a slightly different approach with Billy’s fur to give it some texture which I think worked alright
Also, I won a redemptor dreadnought after winning my local blood bowl league. So have been having ‘fun’ with building it, but it is increasing my numbers again.
As a side point my non-buying of miniatures has failed but I am blaming Ben on XLBS got talking about cheap Star Wars minis. So I have bought 5 packs of Star Wars shatterpoint boxes
Week 33
Only the one model completed this week but I am making a dent into the remaining gnomes.
