How do you know Christmas is just around the corner? A new Red Gobbo emerges from the depths of Games Workshop for Warhammer 40,000. This time, Da Red Gobbo is going to be getting up to all sorts of zany antics from the back of a Squigmobile.

Fittingly, Da Red Gobbo this time around seems to be living up to the need for speed and could well find himself riding across the admittedly un-Christmassy setting of Armageddon alongside Wazdakka Gutsmek and his crew. He has something of a quirky contraption alongside a sidecar that might actually just be a bomb.

I've never been massively won over by the Christmas miniatures from Games Workshop, especially Da Red Gobbo. They never particularly float my boat but I can see that this is a neat attempt to try and bring it in line with the current happenings in Orky society and Warhammer 40,000.

It always reminds me that I'd love Games Workshop to just do a non-Christmas-themed version of Da Red Gobbo and make him and his fellow Grots more of a thing in regular games of Warhammer 40,000. Da Red Gobbo will have rules for use in Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team and Blood Bowl. I guess the referee took a heavy bribe.

New Book

As well as the new miniature, Da Red Gobbo will have a new adventure to go on with Da Red Gobbo's Reckoning.

Written by Callum Davis, the focus shifts to Ector Flynn, who has been sent to a snow-covered wasteland to hunt down Da Red Gobbo. As with everything that involved Da Red Gobbo, nothing goes to plan. Once again, a very good reason for Games Workshop to get around to making a fun new miniature for Da Red Gobbo that isn't just for Christmas!

Could this miniature be coming home with you for Christmas?
