In the wake of the release of the Medieval Warband for use with your Historical wargames, Victrix Miniatures are taking pre-orders for their Imperial Rome Warband, which will be perfect for those diving into Ancient wargames.

Imperial Rome Warband - Victrix Miniatures

Imperial Rome Warband // Victrix Miniatures

This warband set gives you a good core of disciplined Romans. You'll get forty-one figures within the set that break down into the Legionary Command Frame, four of the Legionaries Advancing frames, four of the Legionaries Attacking frames and then one Bolt Shooter frame.

Legionaries Command Sprue - Victrix Miniatures

Legionaries Command Sprue // Victrix Miniatures

The sprues that you'll find within the set have been drawn from the range of Ancient plastic figures that Victrix already produce, broken down into what would be useful for your first games in a variety of games but especially the likes of SAGA.

Legionaries Advancing Sprue - Victrix Miniatures

Legionaries Advancing Sprue // Victrix Miniatures

You get all of those classic Romans that you'll have learned about in school as part of this collection. And, with plenty of weapon options and ways of posing your miniatures. I like that you've got the option to arm them with their pilum as well as the classic gladius, so if you're ranking them up, you can have the pilum flying over the top.

Legionaries Attacking Sprue - Victrix Miniatures

Legionaries Attacking Sprue // Victrix Miniatures

This gives you some great miniatures to form up your Roman army to battle against the British, Dacians, Germans and whatever else the Romans have to throw at you. You could also use this as a good way to bolster an existing Roman collection and get a taste of the Victrix plastics.

Roman Bolt Shooter Sprue - Victrix Miniatures

Roman Bolt Shooter Sprue // Victrix Miniatures

I like that the set also comes with the Bolt Shooter so you've got something a bit extra to build up for the force and play around with fun diorama ideas, especially if you're going to be using this to add to a large square-based, regiment-focused game.

Now that we've seen Victrix do these Warband packs for both the Medieval period and the Ancient era, I would hope we'll see more for the other periods of history that Victrix cover with their collection!

Will you be picking up this new Warband set for the Romans?
