darrell you can tank shock still look at the rule book it says any vehicle can and tanks get +1
i wish you could but the rule you described was ramming not tank shoking 🙁
I thought ramming could only be done by tanks? Isn’t a pre-requisite of being able to ram being a tank?
I thought ramming is a special type of tank shock and only tanks can tank shock.
I do like the models, but I never liked the purpose of them, when I first saw them leaked here I really hoped the Ghost Ark was a Factory ship, and I still think that would of just been way cooler IMO – you know like the Nid’s Tervigon, you’d have this Ark that makes Warriors on a conveyorbelt – with the parts coming out of a portal directly from a tomb or something. So for me while I dig the miniature itself, I think they got the purpose of it wrong so id have to pass.
I have a degree in engineering and I still didn’t get the commander together correctly.
Thanks I enjoyed that, some useful tips on building and gaming insights
I don’t play Necrons but it’s always nice to know what options the enemies got.
@darrell I play Eldar I’m not used to flying bases, I suffer them. 🙁
Glad to see a working vid about this – the original got pulled from ‘Cron Week. I wondered if the cut-out was just on my end so I left my comment anyway…let’s see, where was I?
Oh yes – the shape of the ribs. I dare anyone to paint this up blue and white and put Calgar in the pilot’s seat – you could make the Robotic Ultrashrine (Armour 14 all round, transport capacity of up to 20, Guilliman Flayer Array on each side with 5x Strength 10 AP1 shots) just for lulz. 😉
The doomsday ark isn’t the best HS choice, but the movement thing can be overstated I think. With good positioning you can protect it, and it does have quantum shielding. When it does get that shot off paladins cry 😛
This is open topped so warriors, Teks and Lords inside can all fire inside the vehicle so the ghost ark cab be a great light gunship
As long as you only move 6″. Move at cruising speed and the troops inside can’t fire.
Comparing Ghost Ark and Annihilation Barge to each other is like comparing apples to oranges. Those have so different function.
The Doomsday Ark can be useful. Since it’s a blast, you roll scatter, so it’s not like it will “hit or miss”
Paired with a few triarch Stalkers, the D-Day ark can be VERY useful, rolling scatter with Twin linked.
