It’s been a while since the last update, because I am working on a related project.
I did finally add the vinyl numbes that were in the original plan.
A laser guide was a great help for this part.
A couple of low door handles have been added.
And I’ve added 10mm vinyl tape between the blue and gray areas, which made it look even better.
The border has been painted dark ash gray.
I’ve also attempted some weathering but that made it look worse instead of better, so that needs fixing.
I think the panels/doors themselves need a border of some kind.
Local DIY shop may have what I need.
I believe Weyland Yutani frown on the misappropriation of corporate property for personal use by employees.
Good work on the alignment. I know how much being plumb and level can be a pain be.
I did ask my MU/TH/UR for details on how to execute this.
The hardest part is finding the exact center of both the vinyl application and the door and marking both.
A laser level is an excellent tool, if only a bit annoying to use as you find yourself blocking the lines it draws while using it.
oh … and what Weyland Yutani don’t know won’t hurt them. 😉
