I went to SALUTE yesterday where my two main goals were to visit Spectre Miniatures, to introduce my friend to the Cosmic Horror game, amd to visit Crow Industries to try out their SAND game (fantastic mechanics in this game, very original I may do a battle report in the future) for which I bought the starter set.

Got home and painted all the miniatures. This is a first for me, to have all the miniatures for a game painted on the same day I bought them.

Thought I needed to share this momentous achievement, but it was not really project material. I have been meaning to post up pictures of a lot of my models painted over the last couple of years for sometime now. So here is my log of painted stuff that does not really fit anywhere else.

I will start photographing other models tomorrow.

The completed starter set, all the models were painted, basing and pigments applied, a rust and an ochre, matt varnished, then I applied three coats of gloss varnish to the visors, and painted the metallic to keep their sheen. The completed starter set, all the models were painted, basing and pigments applied, a rust and an ochre, matt varnished, then I applied three coats of gloss varnish to the visors, and painted the metallic to keep their sheen.
The Good Guys. Undercoated, drybrushed up in a khaki/grey mix, adding Warpaints (WP) Brainmater Beige until I was happy. Painted the visors in WP Tainted Garden and adding Brainmatter Beige (BB), with a final dot of almost pure BB. I then added sand to the base, when this dried I dusted the two pigments generously over the base and more sparingly up the lower half of their legs. I finished off as described above. The Good Guys. The Bad Guys. Drybrushed black through grey, given a wash of WP Grimdark Shadow wash. Visors painted black, highlights, WP The Darkness, Two Thin Coats Marine Blue, then adding white upto a final very pale blue dot.The Bad Guys. Tomorrow I will add some Western themed stuff.
