Archon Studio are taking pre-orders for the new wave of releases that are coming to enhance the armies of the StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game. There are some iconic characters hitting the field alongside some big new reinforcements.

Nova Terra & Sabotage Drone - StarCraft

Nova Terra & Sabotage Drone // StarCraft

We start with the Terrans who can bring the deadly Nova Terra to the battlefield, one of the finest Ghosts of the Dominion. The miniature is looking great and should be one picked up by quite a few folks even if they don't play the game.

Nova Terra #1 - StarCraft

Nova Terra #2 - StarCraft

Nova Terra Alternative Pose // StarCraft

As you can see, she can be armed with a variety of different weapons and gadgets when you delve into the kit. You'll also find that the set has a stealth mode version of the character, which is going to look great sneaking around the battlefield. The set for Nova Terra also comes with a Sabotage Drone, which will be integral to her tactical use on the battlefield.

Sticking with the Terrans, they can also call on the Raven.

Raven & Auto-Turret - StarCraft

Raven & Auto-Turret // StarCraft

The Raven has been designed as a support craft that should be included alongside any Terran fleet. It can be used to uncover anyone who has cloaked or burrowed nearby, offering up a good way to stop surprises from killing your troops! The Raven can also deploy the auto-turrets, which will turn any scrap in your favour.

New Zerg Miniatures

As well as the Terrans, we also have two new sets for the Zerg. Kicking things off, we have Zagara.

Zagara & Bile Launcher - StarCraft

Zagara & Bile Launcher // StarCraft

Zagara is an iconic character from the history of StarCraft and the first of the Broodmothers. She is one of Kerrigan's most trusted lieutenants and leaders of the Zerg. She can spawn waves and waves of Zerg to overwhelm the enemy and comes with a Bile Launcher, which is going to send the enemy scattering.

Equally as terrifying is the addition of the Defiler into the mix for StarCraft and the Zerg.

Defiler - StarCraft

Defiler // StarCraft

The Defiler is a terror from the days of the Brood War that can keep your fellow Zerg protected as they advance up the battlefield. The Dark Swarm can shield them from ranged fire before unleashing corrosive ichor onto Terran or Protoss troops that have dug in somewhere. You will want to include one of these alongside your Zerg swarm.

New Protoss Miniatures

Moving on to the Protoss, they get to embrace the power of their Templars. Leading the way, we have Tassadar.

Tassadar - StarCraft

Tassadar // StarCraft

Tassadar is the Executor of the Protoss fleet and has embraced the power of the Khala and those of the Dark Templar. He is a true hero of the Protoss from the lore of StarCraft who paid the ultimate price in order to destroy the Overmind. It also helps that the miniature looks very slick!

Tassadar #1 - StarCraft

Tassadar #2 - StarCraft

Tassadar Alternative Pose // StarCraft

Much like with Nova Terra, you have a couple of different pose options for you to choose from when bringing Tassadar to the tabletop. I think I prefer the second pose, where it looks like he is rising rather than unleashing his power.

The last of the sets for this wave of miniatures is the High Templar pack.

High Templar - StarCraft

High Templar // StarCraft

These High Templars are masters of the Khala and can use their psionic might to devastate enemy units on the battlefield. Their Storms could turn entire squads to dust and Feedback can stop an enemy spellcaster from doing anything. A powerful unit that also looks super cool.

I can see a lot of people getting these even if they don't end up being great in-game (I'm sure they will be). They are another iconic part of the StarCraft games that will be excellent to see on the tabletop, painted up as nicely as the studio miniatures here. You've also got plenty more of that translucent plastic on show for all of the big effects!

Have any of these new miniatures for the StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game lured you into picking a faction?
