Spectre Miniatures released two new sets of figures for those taking to modern battlefields with the British in Spectre Operations. Some elite operatives are on the way alongside soldiers who can make sure armoured obstacles are removed with ease.
Royal Marine Commandos // Spectre Miniatures
A lot of folks will be familiar with the Royal Marine Commandos. They are highly trained and capable of fulfilling a variety of combat roles. This particular Section has been designated an assault role, with each of them armed with the KS-1 rifle. Two of these soldiers then have thermal clip-on optics, which are key for advanced target location. Good luck trying to avoid these fellows when they are on your trail.
The second set of miniatures are the British Army Javelin Detachment.
British Army Javelin Detachment // Spectre Miniatures
This Rifle Section has been outfitted with anti-armour capacity in the form of the Javelin. Two of the team carry the Command Launch Unit whilst each other member of the squad has one of the launchers. This means you've got a lot of anti-armour to play with that's mobile at the same time. A soldier can hide in a house or duck up to a roof for a better shot, whereas an armoured vehicle or air asset has to get into the right position and might not always be readily available.
Both of these new units can be used in Spectre Operations to play out more varied missions on the tabletop. They also come as physical resin miniatures, or you can get them as STL files if you'd prefer to print them off at home.
Are you going to be picking up these new British troops?
