DakkaDakka Bringing Two New Faction Designs To Warsurge
May 12, 2026 by brennon
DakkaDakka.Store are working with Three Brothers Grim to produce two new unique factions for you to use as part of their wargame, Warsurge, which allows you to use pretty much any miniatures from your collection and turn them into armies to fight on the battlefield. Their rule is “Use Anything, Fight Everything".
Chrontendent Leo Koloso // Warsurge
The current crop of miniatures that DakkaDakka.Stores are working on covering two factions that can be dropped into the Warsurge game, each with very different aesthetics. On the one hand, you have the New Yard Constabulary, essentially your "Space Police". They look like they stride the streets of Neu London (got to get the Sci-Fi language in there somewhere), looking to ensure the law is enforced effectively and rigorously.
Chrontendent Leo Koloso is going to be leading the way, punching his way through the enemy with those brutal-looking fists of his. He is going to be in charge of the rank and file of your army and the likes of the Special Constables Squad.
Special Constables Squad // Warsurge
The Special Constables Squad continues the police look and feel of the miniatures and offers up some rather spiffing-looking core troops for you to use as part of your army. They come with a range of different weapons, which could fit the game of Warsurge but also other Sci-Fi games if you were so inclined. It also looks like DakkaDakka.Store will do the same as they've done in previous campaigns, offering both a kit version for builders and converters but also prebuilt miniatures for those who just want to get painting and playing.
The final portion of the New Yard Constabulary then takes the form of the Timecrushers Squad. Whilst the Special Constables are there to lay down covering fire, the Timecrushers are there to get up close and personal with the enemy, carving them up with melee weapons.
Timecrushers Squad // Warsurge
As the world of Warsurge thrives on the idea of multiversal battles with armies clashing from different timelines and universes, it makes sense that we'd have the Timecrushers Squad in there to make sure that justice is delivered to those who overstep the mark and mess around with the timestream. I sense that these particular individuals would have a bone or two to pick with Loki.
Creepy Killers!
On the other side of things, we have the creepy Createra Genetics miniatures.
Krispr-0 K.I.N.G // Warsurge
Warped and twisted time-based entities that perhaps use multiversal travel to complete their own nefarious tasks that no one entirely understands? Perhaps they are mutants from the depths of some terrible city in the far future, twisted to become uncanny human-like creatures who despise those who live above them? Either way, the K.I.N.G looks awesome and seems like they can take care of themselves at range and up close and personal.
The rank and file of this faction is made up of the Krispr-Guards, who carry some eerie and esoteric weaponry that no doubt does awful things to your body should the rounds hit!
Krispr-Guards // Warsurge
I really like the strange, uncanny and slightly bio-augmented bodies that they have. It's almost as if they are shells that they wear over their true forms. Their bodies also blend with the armour they are wearing and the weaponry that they possess, so everything about them feels like it could be in tune. Maybe they even fire their weapons with their minds?!
Last but not least, we also have the Krisper-Heavy Guards, who are the more elite elements of the Createra Genetics force.
Krispr-Heavy Guards // Warsurge
They come with full helms and armour, plus loads of additional kit for keeping them alive during their terrifying assaults on the enemy. Again, you almost have that bioengineered element to their design, which I think would be fascinating to see painted up in lots of different styles.
This looks like it's going to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what's available for the Warsurge project collaboration between DakkaDakka.Store and Three Brothers Grim. I would expect plenty more where this came from when the Kickstarter launches.
Free Miniatures
There are also two special miniatures you can get before the campaign even goes live...
Free Subscriber Miniature // Warsurge
Free Discord Miniature // Warsurge
Both are available to those who sign up and subscribe to the links above. Get stuck in and you'll be able to do a bit of "try before you buy" to see if either of these forces works for you and the games that you're playing.
Which of the two factions do you prefer?

“Chrontendent Leo Koloso” – you meant to say “John Peter ‘TotalBiscuit’ Bain”. I’m sure he would have loved that mini.
He does have totalbiscuit energy
