Scenario one: The Siege
The historical campaign starts with the Mexican assault on the small garrison at the Alamo. Once they are dealt with santa Anna's force can advance into Texas to keep under Mexican control. Instead of waiting for heavy siege guns to weaken the walls they launch an all out assault on the walls.Battle for the North Wall
To cries of "santa Anna" the Mexicans alert the texans to their advance. The first turn of yhe game started with a general advance with the banging of drums which allowed extra movement from the mass of infantry
The texan infantry fire a volley at the still distant enemy and hit nothing until one artillery round claims the first casualty amongst the attackers but a Sgt keeps his men inline
A misfire puts an end to one texan gun and leaves one side of the defences open. Texan volunteers take down a whole front row of advancing Mexicans
Stopping short of the walls to whole line opens fire but the muskets only kill four and now the enemy is close grape shot tears into a leading rank but the units stay in formation Endgame
Troops pour through the breach while texan volunteers flee from the walls as the enemy gets a toehold
As Mexicans storm the compound the retreating texans try and stem the tide but are beaten back. Fleeing texans are shot down.Scenario Two: Overrun
Following the storming of the walls the survivors fall back towards the old Spanish Chapel for a desperate last stand. For this scenario the texian last stand is led by David Crockett who has to be killed within 12 turns by the Mexicans.
Being outnumbered the New Orleans Greys give covering fire while the rest retreat from the on coming bayonets. The Mexicans turn an abandoned cannon on the walls on their previous owners but the shot falls short.
As the texans fall back the Mexicans artillery once again falls short destroying the well before finding its mark. The Greys fire a volley thinking the approaching infantry
Crocket snipes off the enemy before the Mexicans form a firing line ynleashing a volley before charging in. Crocket swings into action but the numbers make him fall back
