They can still call them chaos dwarfs…?
Nice ! An interesting take on them…
Mantic are causing me tremendous problems. I’m desperately trying to stop buying their kit!
The only – only thing I’d ask for is more variety in the faces/heads. Just another one or two, not dozens.
Their beards are puny. Other than that they would look great in a game of warhammer.
I’m both impressed and slightly disappointed. The Dwarfs look amazing….but of all the races they could have done….why Chaos Dwarfs? I know there is a huge demand for a good Chaos Dwarf line, but I would have love to see Mantic do a “Human” faction for their game.
“why Chaos Dwarfs? I know there is a huge demand for a good Chaos Dwarf line”
Sort of answers your own question 🙂
This is fantastic! I hope they do Bull Centaurs too!
Oh, and I would like to second bubbles15’s request for more variety in the heads.
Mantic has committed to doing humans in 2011! Orcs, Humans, and then Ogres. The chaos dwarfs are actually just an update on their existing plastic dwarfs, so it’s really their 3.5 race, and not their fourth. It may even be a metal conversion sorta thing, but perhaps not since they even have pics of converted existing plastics…
Looks good, and thanks BoW for the shots!
n.
I figured that was what they were doing. I imagine that it’s much easier to just tweak existing sprues a little than it is to create a new race. Either way, I love mantic stuff…and have a supplier in my town, so things are good.
@neldoreth awesome dude! thanks for that information!
This helps me. Been wanting to make chaos dwarves from mantic minis so this works out very nicely for me.

latest news and updates, including comformation of chaos dwarfs
I really like these. As already expressed by others I hope that there are plenty of head variants available. They have so much character that it would be a shame to have lots of duplicates in a single unit. Maybe make some packs of heads in the plastic resin that is used for the undead cavalry so that those of us who want to can convert our own.
The moment I saw Mantic Dwarfs I thought about making a ChD army out of them and even wrote about that on their forum. Wonder if that inspired them to release these reviewed models 😉 In a few weeks my local store starts to sell Mantic and I know I won’t resist such a temptation 😉 I just hope they release Bull Centaurs!! PLEASE!! Do it!! Give us the Bull Centaurs!!
It looks like if GW was ever planning to reintroduce Chaos Dwarfs officially, Mantic has beat them to the punch. There is a relatively large audience for Chaos Dwarfs at the moment, and Games Workshop may regret not rebooting their line sooner if Mantic does well with this range. It seems Kings of War is vigorously determined to exterminate Warhammer!
I can only hope that they find a way to release a Skaven …… errrrr Chaos Ratmen race in the (near) future 🙂
booya, [naughty language removed – BoW Andy] finally xD
Mantic you are awesome, finally someone makes Chaos Dwarves and they look quite good
(or evil?)
Just one request, make the helmets a little bit different, I don’t know why but they look like pots to me
