Its a Purity Seal darrell 😀
I don’t mind the antenna style backpacks, its something different from the generic bland packback, I got a box of these guys and I put all the Interceptor backpacks on because they look like something a regular Marine wouldn’t get…
But then again I play Tau, I like that futuristic techno sort of look.
I think we should make him do interceptors with the frig-ugly backpacks as penance for showing us the bases every time. 🙂
Personally though if I ever buy these I’m building a purifier squad with Proton Pack psilencers
Umm….. just two things:
(1.) The Psilencer (and the Gatling Psilencer) only wounds Daemons on a roll of 4+ (unless the score required to would normally be less), against everything else it’s just your usual Strength 4, with no AP.
(2.) The guys in power armour using incinerators, psilencers and psycannons are modelled to be holding these “heavy” guns two-handed on purpose I think, as they lose both their nemesis force weapon and storm bolter if you give them these guns. Only guys in Terminator armour keep their nemesis force weapons (exchanging only the storm bolter), presumably because the Terminator armour makes them strong enough to use these “heavy” guns one-handed and built into their Terminator armour’s arm.
Anyways, great video!
I think the reason they only give you 1 psycannon etc is because its a 5 man squad, and with the exception of the purgation squads, the others can only take 1 of those weapons for every 5 grey knights. That’s also why they are modeled to use both hands to hold the gun.
So if you want purgation squads, you either have to get a box of these and then go bit hunting/trading, or, pick up the single pyscannon etc blister packs
Nice video… but i wouldn’t play grey knights. Might still buy this kit just for the large ammounts of power weapons and there are some quite nice bitz for librarians.
the Psilencer only wounds Daemons on a 4+ its normal strength vs toughness for everything else.
Oh, Darrel, every video, every time…
I can’t stop myself…
I’m all wet with excitement when you show those bases.
o_O
I know everybody loves to see the bases
DARELL!! When you’ve made the figure, put him down and stop touching so much!! We acutally want to see the model properly. A good idea is dont bother with rules in unboxing videos, people get all pissy when you get them wrong.
Darrel, I would like to point out that the NEMESIS warding stave is still a NEMESIS force weapon, so you will still ignore armour saves and get that 2+ invulnerable.
Totally unrelated, but hav to share with you all that i recently received my first ever order from Hasselfree Miniatures, two models from their adventurer range, and they included a small yet very tasty pack of sweets in my order as well as a newsletter and cool postcard advertising their model range! How awesome is that!
So, i have decided after i finish painting my GW Death Guard CSM army that im abandoning GW and its overpriced models for the forseeable future. I will still play 40k but im not building any more armies for quite some time. Instead, im gonna support fantastic independent manufacturers like Hasselfree with my hard earned cash. It has become clear they are more like us in heart and spirit and deserve our attention for the hard work and effort they put in to compete in a GW dominated market place.
I would also like to add that the Hasselfree Miniatures casting quality is absolutely superb. Their models are full of character and i cant wait to start my own Zombie apocalypse ‘kill team’ rules game using their Adventurer range, World Works games card terrain and Wargames Factory zombie packs!
Nice options.
