So did abit more wearthering on my Jumbos and yes that is  a Easy Eight I painted and weathered not sure if “Spearhead”  used these has I have only just started to read my TASKFORCE HOGAN book, but I thought would just finish it any way. Plus got round to finishing of my Tiger, once again did this with my AK pens then gave it a really watered down wash of army painter warpaint Barren dune to give it a dusty covering effect, also did this on the Shermansand looking at the pics might need to wash them down abit look  over done.Tracks were washed over with army painter rust effect, once again watered right down, then just  to apply a bit of mud effect to the tracks and around the road wheels etc, then decals and done.

3rd Armoured Division

So have been doing ww2 reading when a new project came to mind. It all started after I read the above book US 3rd Division in world war Two pictorial history. I just thought yes would love to try and do a force for my Bolt Action/ COC rule sets. So I started to go through exsisiting models kits found a GI infantry box of 30 troops plus some spares from sprues on magazine and ones sent when you order from warlord Games. I then ordered 3 x Jumbo 76mm resin tanks, from warlord, I wanted these just for a change from 75mm Shermans and the 3rd armoured  were issued these in replacement of basic Shermans during there fighting, so just thought go with these. So started to get my force together. From stuff bought and sat waiting to be made.

30 armoured infantry

3 x 76mm Shermans

3 x  M5 stuart light tanks.

3 x M3 A1 Halftracks. ( 2 already owned 1 bought new)

1 x M21 Mortar carrier half track.

So I hope to be doing Task Force Hogan( names after its commander) but I am waiting for my next research book to arrive for fathers day, which is the first picture. So up to now have built and painted my 30 + GI’s and added the 3rd Armoured shoulder decal patch to the left shoulder which I got from District Miniatures with some other decals for a future project. Undercoated and cam painted my shermans. Built undercoated my new half track with kitbashed crew man behind 50 cal, built then undercoated the mortar carrier. ( see pictures below)

So between my last project update and me posting this I have been very busy with work round the house /Garden etc so hobby had to be fitted in when and where I could. So finally finised my 21st panzer project the figures that were scratch built are removable from the Hotkiss vehicles so smoke /flame markers can be placed in them to show them destroyed. Then the troops were made ready per section/squad…gruppen, then the whole force was ready.

Oh I thought a small armoured Grenadier force we go well also, with a platoon leader and medic.
