Delayed update
After getting everyone to the midpoint for the gaming day I then had to cancel going. So they all went into a box for a couple of weeks. I didn’t manage much hobby in February just because of Real Life but towards the end of the month my brain goblins imploded. Full on shut down and would not do any of the things I needed them to do. Conceding defeat, I realised I needed something fairly repetitive so that I didn’t need to do a lot of thinking. Back out of the box the termagants came. Well, half of them anyway.
The paint scheme for this army is pretty much exactly what you see in this video here:
The photos make the blue look different depending on the light but they match what you see in the video. I went with a more orange basing scheme to pick up on the warmer parts of the model’s scheme.
My trip to Nottingham is looking increasingly unlikely but I’m enjoying painting the nids finally so even if I have to cancel, my intention is to stick with the project regardless.

@ewokebab thank you, that’s kind of you. Luckily things have shifted at work and so I’ve hopeful that I’m out the other side now. I have a love/hate relationship with my brain goblins but I’d just pushed them too far recently.
Don’t stress yourself. Do happy things. Eat something nice to treat yourself. That’s how ‘nids do it: eat and be happy 🙂

Sorry to hear you’re having a tough time of it. The ‘nids look great though. Good choice on the base colour to complement the black and blue. I really like the ‘eye’ on the guns. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone paint them like that, and it really sells ‘this is a living weapon’.
@scribbs thank you, things are looking up but it has been a very tough 18 months at work so I have very little bandwidth. I can’t take credit for the eye-dea, it came from the video.
