Because the ‘nids are a child of their time the paint is on there rather thick. So repainting isn’t really a good idea.
But I have a solution: Alcohol! *badum* *tiss*
After two days of soaking and a good scrub we are here:
I’ll let them soak a bit longer and then give them a good rinse. If possible I will disassemble some of the metal minis (especially the flyers) because they are put together rather… bad. A lot of CA glue, greenstuff or similar things. And a butt-load of moldlines to get rid of.



Bugs in the freezer to break the glue and get a handle on the greenstuff. Time to break out an alternative as the Green Matter Gunk isn’t available at reasonable prices anymore
I don’t think I’ll need that much putty on the models at all. Feels more like the original owner tried thin super glue and that didn’t work so they smushed greenstuff in the ball joints and sockets. XD
