Dreadball 2 Springclean
And the Crowd Goes Wild!
Dreadball coaches and side characters. Love the character of these guys. The lady in the middle i used the box art for colour scheme. The 2 zees in the trenchoat pretty much painted themselves. The water worm i loosely based on Slurms mckenzie from Futurama! Wimmy wham wham wazzle! Will have to rescue Thoth as i dropped him just before this photo was taken and I couldn't find it or the Cartoush on the top of his head.
My shan-meeg Starhawk team painted up. As they are Asterians i didn't want to do any old space elves or eldar themed colours. I went with inspiration from babylon 5 and tried to paint them up like G'kar and Narns. Skin should have been a bit more orange maybe.
Nameless team, the Kalimarin Ancients. Really enjoyed painting these and loved how alien and gribbly they were. The temptation to go with a cthulhu theme was really strong, but I found something from stellaris I really liked and stuck with it.
My painted Zees team, really like them and the scheme not far from what I painted the MVP about a decade ago lol. Scheme is based on a 1999 planet of the apes soldiers armour. Really happy with them, shame they're so small its hard to see all those little details!
These Beyond Antares characters i picked up for cheap off ebay and I liked the idea of them for support staff, or even for the matriarch to be some sort of criminal sponsor like Jabba the Hutt. I have always liked the look of the Beyond Antares miniatures, the Algoryn and Boromites have always appealed the most.
