Of Oil and Iron - A Salute Discovery
Automaton fun
I loved the Automatons I saw on the Of Oil and Iron page. I hoped they were being sold at 15mm, but they were 32mm instead. There are no infantry in the game, but I enjoy the aesthetic of this universe so much I put in my order.
I love these and they'll make fun proxies for the British Automaton Infantry for Konflict 47.
I don't know what the loadouts are for Konflict 47, but I won't worry about WYSIWYG. 
The Russian Uniform Vallejo colour is great for British helmets. I used Steel Legion Drab for the equipment/ weapon colours.
Not sure a sniper suits these minis, but of the options I had I like it well enough.
The rust was fun, though I realised that like much of the equipment in wargames, it shouldn't be too rusty. The Automatons are a new invention in Konflict 47. Not sure they have time to get too rusty, but it's fun to make surfaces more interesting.
The tanks painted brightly is silly if they're going to be in Konflict 47, but just wanted to go a bit rogue on this one. The tanks as different colours nods to different liquids being mixed for a more volatile concoction. Can always paint them green later if it bugs me.
