Damn this year is flying by, we’re at June already, but i can happily say that i’m steaming along with my hobby progress this year, and in the end, that’s what this project is about, even though i set one, it’s not about the goal, just getting minis painted, and enjoying doing it, as well as just being a good record of what i get painted this year.

First up is the JSA faction models from the Operation Sandtrap set that launched with Infinity N5. Have always been hesitant to paint Infinity models, im always very inspired by the box art for a model kit, and needless to say Angel Giraldez does an outstanding job painting the studio models, and I know i’ll never be able to paint that well. However over the years i have improved my painting, and developed my own “style” and finally felt like i was ready to take on the challenge. I’m very pleased with these, especially putting in the extra effort to make 3d printed base toppers, and 3d printed name plates so i can easily recognise which unit is which.

I'm also still slowly chugging my way through my Maladum collection, another 3 heroes painted.I'm also still slowly chugging my way through my Maladum collection, another 3 heroes painted.

Next up is a set of 3d printed terrain that i ordered a couple months ago. I was mostly thinking about MESBG when i bought it, would make for a great ruins of Osgiliath game, however i painted the set with a more general paint scheme, to make it fit in even more with loads of my other games, ranging anywhere from Old World to Trench Crusade, Moonstone to…as photographed above, Burrows & Badgers.

Finally for this month, we have a WW1 Lewis Gun section. I’m more of a WW2 gamer, but always have had interest in WW1, however always been put off because, if i was to do WW1…i’de want it to be in the trenches, and so, never dove into it.

However since making my trench board for Trench Crusade, i now have nothing stopping me. I ordered these great files from Warfulcrum games, looked up some painting guides, and am very happy with how these chaps have turned out.

That brings me to 36 models painted this month (counting my terrain as 18…because theres 18 pieces 😛  ), so a great month of hobby, despite the hot weather doing its best to kill me…..

End of month status: 184/365…just ahead of target!
Backlog minis painted: 71
New minis painted: 113
