There we go. I’ve finished the 24 strong block of crossbowmen this week.

These are all Dave Andrews sculpts that he did for GW way back and that Brian Ansell took to Wargames Foundry – where I got them from.

Soon, I know I’ll have to start referring to these guys as my 3rd Ed army, I’ve had something VERY similar in mind for a small few years now. Because of that, I sort of did want to go full metal, and full Stillmania, so, 3 coats of gloss varnish. I realsie that that’s not necessarily necessary now a days, what with the chemistry of the varnish having advanced in the intervening years, but 3 coats of varnish just felt right. Plus, I’ve got into the habit of varnishing models afetr a rushed move a year and a half ago.

I realised that, when I’ll come to make the movement trays for this army, I’ll need to name each unit. I’ve one already for the massive pikeblock, but not for these guys, the Halbardiers, nor the handgunners.

Anyway, stay safe, stay groovy!
