I am making the big move of retiring to Spain, so all my models and projects have now been packed up and are with the removals company.

Before packing away my models I did manage to get in a couple of practice games and this project will be the first thing unpacked once I arrive in Spain in a couple of weeks.

This is not really a battle report, but I wanted to share a few photos and thoughts.

The games were played using the playtest rules so somethings may have changed when the full game comes out.

The object of the game is to collect “fragments” (clues) from one of three sources.

Witness. Once interacted with and fragments collected is removed from board.

Minor Mythos location investigate to collect fragments determined by a dice roll.

Major Mythos location is where the real fun is as each time you investigate you turn over a Mythos card (at start of game each player selects 5 cards creating a deck of 10 which are shuffled, some scenarios may specify specific cards). Each card carries a story element and gives you a couple of paths to choose from.

See earlier posts regarding other gameplay elements.

I played the I played the "Heroic" Bureau of Esotoric Research led by Kentucky Smith, accompanied by a cognitive auditor and a containment specialist. My opponent played the order of the Salted Tongue, a bunch of no'er do well Cultists.

Only took a couple of photos as we were learning the game. We played two games, once we learned the rules the gameplay was very intuitive and most importantly a lot of fun.

In the second game my Bureau were well ahead on the amount t of fragments collected until my auditor got greedy and was sacked into the void, dropping all of his fragments, to be collected by the despicable Cultists.

Sorry this is just a snapshot of the game as we were learning the rules. But I will end by saying we both thought this was a fantastic and fun game and we look forward to playing more games once i am in Spain (my opponent will be coming over for gaming holidays.
