Removing the bases
All my projects are now packed for my imminent move to Spain but a couple of months ago I bought the new Burlesque dancer from Lucid Eye.
Whilst preparing it for painting I thought I would share how I remove the puddle bases.

The first cut (is the deepest) carefully aligning my clippers with where the foot joins the base
First couple of cuts made keeping as close to the feet as possible.
I have now cut around the outside edges of the pair of feet.
This next bit is important I make a cut applying minimal pressure to the clippers, equidistant between the two feet this avoids bending the legs out of shape.
The final cuts@are made around the feet so the models are effectively wearing platform shoes!
Then with a combination of clipping, trimming with a hobby knife i remove the clippers, always cut away less than is required as the final bit will be removed on a sanding block.
The finished result.
Attached to base and ready for painting.Figure will be painted when I get to Spain in a few weeks.
