The Hundred Kingdoms of Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and First Blood are now getting additional Order support from Para Bellum Games. Delve into some of the unique parts of the Hundred Kingdoms lore with these new 35mm plastic miniatures.

Order of the Sword - Conquest

Order of the Sword // Conquest

We lead with the martial prowess of the Order of the Sword, a sect of warriors who have dedicated themselves to the rigour and focus demanded of them. They are true masters of the blade and have a portion of invulnerability thanks to shard implants within their bodies. You can see that evident in the fact that their left arms are uncovered, revealing the Silubaster veins that might end up terrifying your enemies.

Next, we turn to a dual kit which focuses on the Order Martyrs of St Lazarus and the Penitents of St Lazarus.

Order Martyrs of St Lazarus - Conquest

Order Martyrs of St Lazarus // Conquest

The flames of justice burn brightly within these warriors of St Lazarus. They are all but unstoppable on the battlefield thanks to the religious zeal burning in their blood, savagely assaulting their enemies and breaking their morale. They are brothers to the Penitents of St Lazarus who take on a different battlefield role.

Penitents of St Lazarus - Conquest

Penitents of St Lazarus // Conquest

Enhanced by the blessings and curses of generations of warriors, they are stronger than most ordinary humans. Whereas their brethren above are focused on charging into the heart of the enemy, the Penitents are a relentlessly tough bulwark. You can use the Penitents to hold key parts of the battlefield whilst the Martyrs charge forward and shed the blood of the enemy.

Both of these sets look great and give me a bit of a Blasphemous feel, especially with their masked helmets and the slab-like shields that could easily be relics of the fallen.

New Hero & Artisan Series Miniature

As well as the three unit options, Para Bellum Games also shared a new character in the form of the Order of the Sword Priory Commander.

Order of the Sword Priory Commander // Conquest

Amongst the already peerless swordsmen of the Order of the Sword, the Priory Commander is a step above. They are just as deadly as their fellow soldiers but also possess the qualities of leadership that make them a beacon of inspiration to follow on the battlefield. Much like the rest of the Order of the Sword, the Commander features a bare left arm, revealing the implants that make him such a fearsome fighter. He also comes with options to have him with a helmet or a bare head, sporting a fabulous beard.

Last but not least, we have a new Artisan Series miniature in the form of Terataur Prime.

Artisan Series Terataur Prime - Conquest

Artisan Series Terataur Prime // Conquest

When a renowned mortal hero is injured beyond saving, the City States have a choice. Do they give them a hero's death, or do they promise them eternal glory and go through the complex procedure of turning these warriors into the Terataur? Through divine means, the mind of the hero is layered into sheets of metal, which are then combined with clockwork and crystal components, turning the warrior into an unstoppable Terataur. That's one way to ensure that you live forever.

The miniature would be great for collectors of the City States but can also be used as a Polemarch in your games of The Last Argument of Kings and First Blood. In First Blood, the Terataur Prime also has bonus rules, allowing you to choose its form as either a Populist Hero or Scholae Masterwork, unlocking more options for you to use on the tabletop.

What do you make of these new pre-orders for Para Bellum's Conquest?
