Pre-Order The New 15mm British For World War III: Team Yankee

We've been seeing some of the teasers and previews for what's coming for the British in Battlefront Miniatures' World War III: Team Yankee. Well, pre-orders are now live for you to get the new rules and Starter Sets for the British ahead of a release later in October.

We start with the new book for the British. This comes with background for running the British during this Cold War era, focusing on the British Army but also the 1st and 3rd Armoured Divisions. You will also find instructions on how to craft your forces around the Challenger 2, Challenger, or Chieftain Armoured Squadron, Warrior and FV432 Mechanised Companies, Airmobile Company, Medium and Wheeled Recce Squadrons, Commando Company, and Parachute Company.

There are also four scenarios designed to test your skills as the British on the tabletop and then the standard painting guides which give you some helpful tips and tricks for bringing the British to the tabletop for use during the clashes against the Soviets. Interestingly, Battlefront have also been teasing the Argentinians if you wanted to take your British overseas for a Falklands clash.

The book will also come with a free code to unlock the lists on Forces and a PDF download via FoW Digital. This will be your tome of choice for all of the action you're going to be fighting out in 1985 and beyond.

New British Starter Sets

To do that fighting, you're going to need miniatures. Battlefront Miniatures have two options for you here as you can either go for a Two-Player Starter Set or a single Starter Force.

The two-player set, which features the British for yourself and the Soviets for a friend, gives you a British force of seven plastic vehicles and then a Soviet collection of nine plastic vehicles. You can find the full breakdown of what's inside by checking out the contents below.

The set will also come with the complete Rulebook for World War III alongside a guide on assembling your miniatures, all of your unit cards, enough dice for your games and two lovely posters featuring artwork from World War III: Team Yankee. Stick them up on the walls of your hobby room.

If you'd prefer to just pick up the British, there is also the Challenger 2 Armoured Squadron.

The Starter Forces are a great way to get into the game of World War III as it gives you a full army to play your games with, avoiding the pesky thinking part of the process. As you might have guessed, this comes with quite a few Challengers alongside Chieftains, Milan and Scimitars. You also get two of the Gazelle Helicopters.

In addition to the miniatures, the set will also come with the Rulebook for World War III and all of the cards that you need for using the army on the tabletop. This is a perfect starting point for someone wanting to build the Challenger 2 Armoured Squadron Formation, supported by additional recon units and air units.
