if a necron lord has a warscythe, does it have a built-in gauss blaster? it’s just at my wargaming club this is a bit of an argument between me and another necron player.
the codex says that “any necron unit within 6″ of the lord (including the lord himself) may attempt ‘we’ll be back’ rolls”

No It doesn’t have a gauss blaster built in, It’s not the same as the pariah’s, on page 14 of the codex it speaks about exactly what’s in a warscythe. on page 17 it speaks about a warscythe WITH a built in gauss blaster, they are not the same.
also the codex is very cool when it comes to WBB’s cos it speaks about CC power weapons and weapons double the toughness but it never mentions AP weapons, as in an AP 2 plasma pistol will not insta kill a warrior.
