The folks at Para Bellum Games are taking pre-orders for some excellent new miniatures that slot into their 35mm scale Fantasy wargame Conquest and in particular, the Weaver Courts faction. We start with something special in another Founder's Exclusive miniature, the towering Winter's Bite.

Winters Bite Founders Exclusive - Conquest

Winter's Bite Founder's Exclusive // Conquest

For those not aware, the Founder's Exclusive miniatures are a numbered series of limited figures (1099) and once they are sold out, they are gone. They will never be released again. This makes them very special miniatures for collectors and those devoted to a particular faction. In this case, that's the Weaver Courts.

Winter's Bite Founder's Exclusive - Details // Conquest

Winter's Bite is a miniature showcasing one of the renowned Gemred Knights of the Weaver Courts that patrols the Northern reaches of Faerann. These brave warriors head forth to combat all sorts of different threats and some of them even face down creatures like the terrifying Lindworm. Those who can master one of these creatures, like this Gemred Knight has done, are raised to positions of high honour amongst the Courts once they return.

This miniature can also be used in-game, upgrading one of your Gemred Knights and giving them a nice new cavalry option to use alongside others of their kin on the tabletop. They could also be used alongside the Fianna Cavalry or the upcoming Wyrd Knights who are also on the way from Para Bellum Games.

The miniature for Winter's Bite also looks brilliant. I love the curling pose of the Lindwurm and the Gemred rider on the back, reaching down to slice one of their enemies in two with that brutal scythe. Another stunning miniature from the folks at Para Bellum for the growing Conquest range.

Weaver Courts Gallowglass

In addition to the Founder's Edition resin miniature, you'll also be able to get some additional support for the Weaver Courts in the form of the plastic Brutes, the Gallowglass.

Gallowglass Warriors - Conquest

Gallowglass Warriors // Conquest

Kicking things off, we have the Gallowglass Warriors, who are the first of two variants that you can build from this single 35mm plastic kit. The Gallowglass Warriors are rare amongst the Weaver forces but they have a singular task on the battlefield: to bring as much violence against the enemy as possible. Bloodshed and mayhem are at the core of their being and that is present in how they work on the tabletop.

They can go toe-to-toe with pretty much any enemy and benefit from the Seed planting of the Weaver Courts on the battlefield. Consuming the Seeds can amplify their powers even more, making them a battering ram to crash through enemy ranks.

If you'd prefer to go a different route, then you can also check out the Gallowglass Wardens.

Gallowglass Wardens - Conquest

Gallowglass Wardens // Conquest

Wardens take a more defensive role within the ranks of the Weaver Courts' armies, deployed to protect key domains. They are more designed for ranged combat, throwing natural missiles at anyone who dares to come too close.

Much like the Warriors, they synergise well with the use of Seeds. Rather than consuming them, the Wardens throw their missiles at their foes and then create space for where Seeds can be sown, bloom and then be made use of by the rest of the army. It's almost like the Conquest designers had a cool idea about how to portray the cycle of nature and growth within this army!

All of these miniatures are available for you to pre-order right now and should be landing later in May!

Could you be tempted by the Weaver Courts for Conquest?
