Haven’t been here for a long while, work takes up most of my time now, along with fishing, but I spotted this on BoardGameGeek recently:

    https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3707727/some-news-from-osprey-games

    Main points from the announcement:

    – no new board and card games, though wargames and RPGs will remain

    – refocusing Osprey on book publishing

    – it looks like games that have been recently announced will still go ahead as planned

    – it looks like Osprey are interested in finding a new home for the board and card games

It’s sad news, but I hope that they find a new home for some of their board games, especially the excellent Undaunted line. I wonder if this means we will start seeing some of their games go out of print for now.

I hadn’t seen this so thanks for the heads-up.  It is a shame that they are moving this line on.  They did some different things and that’s what made the line interesting.  There was consistent quality in both game design and art direction and that’s a winning combination.  I really enjoy Imperium and even some of the smaller games like Katmai are well worth a go.

Let’s hope they find a sympathetic home where the same principles will be in place and we can continue to see quality output.
