Welcome to the eight (hopefully not last) monthly painting competition (PaintComp) down here in the forums. Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody who likes to participates paints something up, builds something or what ever creative outlet strikes them

Then, not later than the 25th of each month you post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it!

There are no prizes involved, only fun! It’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.

The key phrase for this month is inspired by sports but open to more mythical interpretation:

Congrats on the win last month @gorram , well deserved.  Excellent choice – I’ve definitely got something for that.  Might just get a couple of extra bits in as well though, so I have a choice 😀 I’m stocking up for Warriors of Athena, that’s my excuse anyway.

I’ve painted loads in the past that would fit that theme. Not sure I currently have anything still waiting to be painted though. I’ll have to give it a think.

Olympian is a great theme, with Milano-Cortino about to happen!

Not sure how I’ll find something to fit this one… maybe some Canadian hosers watching Canada take hockey gold, eh…

I found my mini today and got it cleaned up so that’s something.

@gorram it’s one of those ideas that sound awesome in your head and once you start them it’s a bit… “oh lardy what have I done”.

Needed to change details on the fly, had a brain fart. Build part is done and doesn’t look to shabby. Now waiting for some “prime weather” XD
