@lawnor my advice is to leave it as it is now, it is good, and as anyone knows better is worst enemy of good.

Try something completely different on you next piece and compare, should you find some incredibly, ground-breaking new way fo doing gold NMM in the future, you can always repaint, but that would be after you have actually painted you first bust.

Not quite painting but been learning how to use my 3d printer. Wanted to save some money on bases and such for my armies and also went in on the Titan Forge Patreon.

Showing the bad with the final good, this is the journey I went on just to print a good base until I got it right in the final one bottom right, which has been zenith highlighted to show the details.

@lawnor you nailed the gold NMM.  Wonderful work.

Okay, @brennon, you have inspired me to start down the road of Burrows and Badgers.  Being crazy about dogs I’ve started with the Bulldog knight.  I’m done with base coats and I think he’s coming along well.  Such fun sculpts to paint. Washes and details next.
