Martyrdom’s First Medieval Miniature Starts The Baggage Train

We might be a little late on this one (blame holidays and absentmindedness) but Martyrdom did release their first miniature not too long ago. It might now be sold out BUT it is going to be coming back in the future. So, make sure to bookmark the page if you'd like to go back and pick this up.

Donkey and Cart // Martyrdom

The Donkey and Cart is, just as it says on the tin, a man driving his donkey and cart down the road. Whatever this poor fellow is having to cart around for his lord, I sense that he might be just about to get attacked by some nefarious bandits or his lord's enemies looking to give him something of a headache.

Sculpted by Santiago Lafosse, this is a great little set which comes in resin. The wider Martyrdom range is going to be hard plastic but this was/is a made-to-order resin miniature for those excited about the Martyrdom project that can be added in alongside their armies.

The set comes with a donkey and a cart that can be loaded with different cargo. You could choose from a barrel, hay bale, closed chest, a weapons chest, pots or a bundle of spears. Maybe you fill it right to the top and give the donkey a hard time! Shame on you...

It breaks down into twenty-one resin parts and looks pretty damn good. The quality is right up there in terms of detail and as you can see by the painted miniature above (painted by TerrainBeast), it turns out nicely once you've got it all built and ready!

As I mentioned, this sold out pretty damn quickly when it launched and should be delivering to those who ordered the first print run very soon. As they say on their website, it will be coming back after the Kickstarter, so if you missed out and you'd like to add one to your collection, make sure to bookmark the page as I mentioned above.

Even though this isn't readily available right now, I think it's still a good look at what the team behind Martyrdom have planned and what the quality of their miniatures might look like. We're still seeing plenty of previews in the run-up to the actual Kickstarter and I recommend folks still keep an eye on their Instagram over the next few weeks and months if they'd like to see where it goes.
