Games Workshop looks to be playing catch-up with a selection of their pre-orders for this weekend. Warhammer 40,000 fans are going to be able to start things off however with the release of the new Codex Adeptus Mechanicus and the Skitarii Marshal.

Games Workshop continues their march into the realm of Shyish with a whole bunch of new Soulblight Gravelords for you to play as in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. As well as plenty of new miniatures, we're also seeing the return of some (not so) old miniatures too.

The Descent: Legends of the Dark board game from Fantasy Flight Games has been looming for a while now. And every so often, we get a nugget and or glimpse of information telling us more about this exciting title set to be released this year.  However, Fantasy Flight Games have introduced us all to upcoming new game heroes. With a leader, a healer, a bowman, a magically gifted, an alchemist and a keen assassin joining the highly anticipated title, introducing the six new heroes of Terrinoth. 

Of all of the different board games I know and love, timers make me nervous. As I like to practice board games before playing others (to ensure I am the ultimate champion), being aware of outcomes is something I enjoy anticipating. But there is a way to make me panic, and that is timers. Ahoy there Wyrdos. If you are anything like me, you will be excited for Bayou Bash to be heading over to our tabletops this summer. Now considering that I am a fan of Wyrd products anyway, the upcoming release of the board game is getting me quite giddy! Featuring the lovable rogue Gremlins and awesome mounts from through the breach.  This week, Wyrd Games have confirmed one of the newest playable characters, and taken a look into their perks within the game. The Rooster is ready to cluck its way into the race, leaving the other mounts at the start line.

Victrix has been showing off some more of the 12mm miniatures they have been working on for World War II wargaming. One of the more recent previews was for some of their Soviet Infantry that is coming soon.

Kromlech is going to be expanding upon their Hospodar Dwarf range with a new set of Fantasy Dwarven Terrain, themed to their miniatures. These are going to become available on their webstore come 11th June 2021.

Antediluvian Miniatures has restocked their range of Sci-Fi miniatures recently. So, whilst this isn't a new set of miniatures it is very timely considering the release of Stargrave recently from the folks at Osprey Games! 

Deep-Cut Studio has put together a new gaming mat that would be particularly good for those wanting to play games as the new Soulblight Gravelords in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. Check out their Burial Grounds design. 

Battlefront Miniatures are building on their Bagration collection with a new book and a range of miniatures for use by the Axis-Allies of the period. Flames Of War fans will be able to snap up a new book and more for use in their 15mm World War II wargames.

Oathsworn Miniatures have revisited some of their classic sculpts from the Burrows & Badgers collection. The hero and villain that you see below were some of the first to be sculpted and so they have become quite attached to them!

Every Friday, a new release excitedly rears its head over at TTCombat. Fans of the Elves in Kings Of War will be happy to hear that you can now pre-order their new Drakon Riders and Elf Lord On Drakon for your armies. Mantic Games have popped these new PVC and resin miniatures onto their webstore for release later in May.

Zealot Miniatures has been showcasing a few of their new 32mm resin Fantasy monsters for you to throw into armies and dungeon crawls. A few of these have been sighted before but they look so good that I thought I'd highlight them again. We start with a big ol' Bugbear!

Paul Hick has returned to join Brigade Games on Kickstarter as they work through more miniatures for their This Very Ground collection. If you're a fan of wargaming in the French & Indian Wars in 28mm then you'll want to check out the new miniatures they have been working on.

6mm Combat Miniatures are now live on Kickstarter with their project to bring a range of 6mm cavalry to the tabletop for those playing out the events of The Thirty Years' War.

Atomic Mass Games has revealed the partnership that will bring Captain America to the tabletop for Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Sam Wilson's Cap will be joined by War Machine in a new set, giving both characters the chance to rain down some damage from above in this 40mm skirmish game.

A new selection of excellent 28mm Sci-Fi miniatures are coming up next month for Corvus Belli's Infinity. New packs of troops plus a range of characters are popping up for a variety of factions. 

Games Workshop is continuing the reveals for their more specialised boxed games this week. Necromunda was front and centre with the reveal of a new refined and deadly character in the form of Lady Credo.

A range of new monstrous beasts and strange mechanical beings are stomping and smashing into the pulpy awesome world of Monsterpocalypse from Privateer Press.

This weekend saw the announcement that next weekend, we're going to be seeing pre-orders go live for the new Soulblight Gravelords army for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. Bloodsuckers and shambling skeletons are coming to invade The Mortal Realms. 

The armies of the Imperium bring together many, many people from across hundreds of worlds. So, it makes sense that your army in Warhammer 40,000 would have plenty of options to show that. Thankfully, Games Workshop is updating their Cadian Shock Troops set to represent that!

Last week, Games Workshop revealed that they have actually been paying attention. The grimdark future of Warhammer 40,000 is soon to be graced by the Beast Snaggas as a new breed of Ork fights its way onto the battlefield.

Alas, Saturday was not a day to get excited about 10mm Warmaster-esque Warhammer Fantasy Battles. But, it was a chance for Games Workshop to show off some teasers for the new edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar which is coming up later this year.
