Slave 2 Gaming Release A 28mm Alien Invasion On The Tabletop
April 28, 2026 by brennon
Slave 2 Gaming recently added some excellent 28mm Sci-Fi miniatures to their website for those seeking to unleash an alien invasion on the tabletop! This is a new set of expanded miniatures based on the original range, sculpted by Mike Broadbent.

These new miniatures have been designed by Ross Franks of Twisted Pancreas Games, made to maintain the original feel of Broadbent's designs from ten years ago. The miniatures are now available to buy as individual figures rather than as packs but if you order loads of them, the team will work to give you as much variety as possible within your collection.
As well as the Rifle Unit above, which will work as your rank and file aliens on the tabletop, you'll also be able to buy a Heavy Weapons Unit, which is there to make sure those puny human tanks get blown to smithereens!

I like that this set comes with miniature standing up, firing, aiming, issuing orders and you've also got those aliens who are lying down for a better shot. It works really nicely and I think this will be a super fun set of figures to paint for a retro-inspired Sci-Fi wargame.
If you're looking to unleash even more terror on your foes and perhaps even mess with the minds of your enemies, you can also check out the Power Weapon Unit!

These helmeted aliens are going to be using their power to blast away your enemies and turn their heads into mush. I like the idea that they have plenty of firepower but they can also focus, perhaps as a unit, and then mind control their enemies, turning them against their foes. Only by taking them out and blasting those helmets off can you break the connection!
Last but not least, you can also get a set of Infiltrators who have planted themselves in human society.

You have Infiltrators who seem to have decided that Elvis was the prime cover for their invasion attempts. I think this is great and you could pop them in plain sight and just run with the comedy side of things on the tabletop. Clearly, they're human! They just have big heads!
Slave 2 Gaming has also said that they are going to be adding to this range with vehicles, so you've got plenty more for a fun alien invasion on the tabletop.
Could you be tempted to pick up these quirky aliens?

Oh these are cute
I have the aliens from the short lived Mars Attacks skirmish game. They are nice little nasties.
ACK ACK ACK!
I wish I had bought about 10 copies of that game, the aliens are fantastic. Haven’t even seen a copy come up second hand worth buying.
I’m not saying it was the aliens … but it was definitely the aliens…
