Congratulations, it's a platoon?Congratulations, it's a platoon?

Long story short, a buddy offloaded all of his miniature stuff to me. Part of it was his huge Flames of War Soviet collection. Of course, I had no intention of playing Flames since I enjoy my World War 2 games with a bit more World War 2 in them.

I sold off most of the stuff on eBay, but kept enough Soviets (and Hungarians) for Battlegroup Barbarossa, and then Chain of Command, and now V for Victory… though with single-basing, I could go for Disposable Heroes or Five Met at Kursk.

I put these guys on washers started painting with Contrasts years ago and never finished. But having some free time at night due to a newborn coming around allowed me to finish at least this platoon-ish force. I haven’t really checked if they’re valid for any list, even though I was aiming, years ago, for the RUSSIAN (eyeroll) BATTLEGROUP Infantry platoon in Barbarossa.

The minis are mostly nice/OK, though the puddle basing makes their bases high as fuck and some of them are flat like some metal sculpts tend to be for some reason.
