3rd Armoured Division "Spearhead" WW2
So have been doing ww2 reading when a new project came to mind. It all started after I read the above book US 3rd Division in world war Two pictorial history. I just thought yes would love to try and do a force for my Bolt Action/ COC rule sets. So I started to go through exsisiting models kits found a GI infantry box of 30 troops plus some spares from sprues on magazine and ones sent when you order from warlord Games. I then ordered 3 x Jumbo 76mm resin tanks, from warlord, I wanted these just for a change from 75mm Shermans and the 3rd armoured were issued these in replacement of basic Shermans during there fighting, so just thought go with these. So started to get my force together. From stuff bought and sat waiting to be made.
30 armoured infantry
3 x 76mm Shermans
3 x M5 stuart light tanks.
3 x M3 A1 Halftracks. ( 2 already owned 1 bought new)
1 x M21 Mortar carrier half track.
So I hope to be doing Task Force Hogan( names after its commander) but I am waiting for my next research book to arrive for fathers day, which is the first picture. So up to now have built and painted my 30 + GI’s and added the 3rd Armoured shoulder decal patch to the left shoulder which I got from District Miniatures with some other decals for a future project. Undercoated and cam painted my shermans. Built undercoated my new half track with kitbashed crew man behind 50 cal, built then undercoated the mortar carrier. ( see pictures below)
WW2 Miniatures for Bolt Action/ Chain of Command

Further miniatures that I finished and vehicles that I have started to work on. These miniatures are going to be either Brits or canadian not sure still deciding but I think the bergan troops will have to be commandos.
WW2 Miniatures for Bolt Action/ Chain of Command
So I decided to carry on with more winter theme troops, some more paras as I still cant spell Fallschirmjäger. Plus used some German venteran winter troops from warlord and grenadiers from victrix in the 5th image.
WW2 Miniatures for Bolt Action/ Chain of Command
So bit more of the WW2 minis built painted and based I thought would do some winter troops . So started with the Battle of the Bulge box from warlord games. American GIs and German Paratroops as I cant spell Fallschirmjäger.
21st Panzer Division vehicles and troops
So between my last project update and me posting this I have been very busy with work round the house /Garden etc so hobby had to be fitted in when and where I could. So finally finised my 21st panzer project the figures that were scratch built are removable from the Hotkiss vehicles so smoke /flame markers can be placed in them to show them destroyed. Then the troops were made ready per section/squad…gruppen, then the whole force was ready.
Oh I thought a small armoured Grenadier force we go well also, with a platoon leader and medic.
Star wars (Battle for Hoth ) board game
So for Christmas My wife saw this game and thought I would like this to play with my grand children. So after a couple of games my grandson suggested that could we paint the figures in the game. so once again a small board game project has begun. So figures washed and left to dry then an undercoat to be applied.
21st Panzer Division vehicles and crews
So finally got round to doing some more work on this, been a busy month February gave the tanks abit of camo and then a bit of weathering, undercoated the kit based crew and did a simple paint job on them
