Philo, with nothing to lose, fired everything he had into the zombies below him. As his shotgun clicked empty, the zombies kept dropping.

Out of the shadows emerged Deadeye Odell, the famous Bounty Hunter. Guns blazing, this stranger came to the rescue, followed by even more zombies.

Slugface ran. His mind was set, the words of his Captain still in his head:

“Get to the boat.”

Smashing past some storage boxes, something caught his eye, making him stop.

“Get to the boat, get to the boat, get… chainsword.”

Waves of zombies followed in Slugface’s wake. No one noticed the Sergeant following them.

Looking for a way out, Philo saw a crate on the stall next to him. Without any other options, Digger desperately jumped across. Finding a shotgun, all hope was not lost yet.

The Captain and Lawdog reached the top of the tower. They dived for cover and opened fire on the Scavvies. Tomos knew time was not on their side. The Captain bravely pushed forward across a walkway, only to be brutally cut down.

Seeing the fate of his employer, Sergeant Lawdog decided to take his chances back down at ground level.

Trouble at the Top

Seaman “Slugface” Rud watched in horror as his fellow mutant and crewman, Three Eyes, was ripped apart. He ran from his hiding place, heading straight for the docks.

The Heroic Mutant

Scanning his surroundings, Captain Tomos swiftly made his way out of the market.

“Follow me. Look out for Scavvies. Stick together.”

From the top of a market building, Philo could see he was surrounded. Worse still, he was now an easy target for the Scavvies up on the walkways and surrounding structures.

Without hesitation, Three Eyes sacrificed himself for the others, charging headfirst into the closest group of zombies. He didn’t stand a chance.

Lawdog followed his Captain up a ladder to the structures surrounding the market. The others were left to fend for themselves.

The Crew of the Rusty Widow

Captain Tomos had stopped off at Marv’s Market Store for supplies. He planned to set sail later that day on the Rusty Widow.

Pit Miner “Digger” Philo was just catching a lift across the Sump with the Captain. Now he found himself desperately climbing a market shack to escape.

Rigger “Three Eyes” Edric was a mutant, but had served the Captain well over the years. Most looked down on people like him, Tomos treated his crew well.

Sergeant “Lawdog” Will Kervan was hated more than the mutants around the Sump. No longer a Sergeant, despite what they called him. But the discharged Palanite Enforcer was cheap muscle.

A Quick Stop At Marv’s

It was a quiet market town on the edge of the Sump Sea.

A welcome break for sailors.

A mixing pot of Hive Scum, Mutants and Outlaws.

A Quick Stop At Marv’s

Panic, gunfire, cries.

“Plague zombies”

Zombies flooded into the market.

The crowds tried to run in all directions but the area was surrounded.

This was no time to be armed only with a stub gun.

A Quick Stop At Marv’s

Over the chaos, the voice of Captain Tomos was heard:

“Get to the boat.”

Philo, Three Eyes, and Sergeant Lawdog joined the Captain.
