About the Project
After spotting sector Alix on the indie of the week i was immediately hooked. I was a big fan of bioshock Infinite and so I've jumped in to give this game a go.

Docks
The kit needed to complete the scenarios. They warn you not to glue any of it together. It's all modular and slots together. A great bit of kit that can be changed and added to 
Start painting
So far everything gits in an A4 useful box
Starting with a small selection of dockers and company minis for the first scenario 
Company officers. I did hurt my eyes painting these. I must be getting old
Dockers turned piratesPrinting
I've spent the last couple of weeks printing out everything needed for the starter campaign. The docks are a great modular kit that can be rearranged for each scenario. They do warn you not to glue anything together.
The resin minis are so small, you can get loads printed in no time
The flying boats are great kits with turrets that can be swapped out easily 
Where to start
The game is available through mymini factory so the first thing I did was to download the rules and print them off. They do a bundle which gives you all the files to start printing everything you need to get started. If you don't have a printer this could be a barrier to play. I have the underdock 6 force lists which is constantly being updated. The troubled sky campaign has a list of everything you need to get going so you can print and build just what you need mission by mission.

The omnitool used for measuring. My first print snapped at the joint but not much of a problem. This is used for movement and ranged combat. As its a 12m game ranges are close.
Bioshock infinite was one of those video games that I really enjoyed and sector Alix captures the look and feel of that floating city aesthetic. Its so unlike any other game I have and the 12mm scale works so well for the boat to boat combat while still having individual character models. As the game has been translated from French I have spotted a few typos and in some places no translation at all but nothing that has prevented me getting on with the game. The content creator Bishok has clearly been influenced by Bioshock and I'm all here for it. Next step is to get printing the models.
