Bob does Weird War
The Americans.
For the Fireflys I pretty much for the scheme on the box art. The Base uniform , was a mix of Army Painters Malignant Green and Palid Bone in a 50/50 mix in an attempt to match that light tarnish colour. Jump boots were done in Citadel Contrast Wyrdwood. Belts , jump packs etc was my old favorite Forest Sprite, though the helmets ever done in Army Painter Malignant Green. Weapon stocks were leather Brown with metalwork done in Atmy Painter Enchanted Steel.
Then the figures was given the now traditional Agrax Earthshade wash thinned about 50/50 with water.
Post above drying the white and blue Tesla effect was added to wpns and faces were applicable finished.
The bases were done as were the German Powered Armour.
I did 3 Thompson X squads, one I added a Auto Rifle but on watching the various let’s Plays, on subsequent squads went for Flame Throwers instead.
With the 6 spare figures I did an Artillery Spotter team, 2x extra men for Commander escort and another Flame Thrower team…

Artillery SpottersThe Roberta Wells and the Firefly Officer ( dressed as was David Schwimmer in Band of Brothers) were dome in similar fashion, other than Roberta’s jacket was done on white base with Apothocary White Contrast, and The officers leather done in Leather Brown Apropriatly.
