I started withe Cygnar command cadre and decided to basically follow box and book art, which I found appealing. Assembling the miniatures was quite an experience and I was thankful for the excellent guide provided by SFG online. Having assembled and painted plethora of Barons War miniature the last siz months, Warmachine miniatures offered a level of complexity I was no longer used to. In the end, the complexity paid off as the resulting miniatures offered an amazing level of detail and dynamic poses. Painting them was equally challenging , as the amount of details required constant attention so as to not forget yet another bandolier or object attached to the miniature.

I first painted the Black 13th which gave me the opportunity to paint different shares of black by marrying the black highlight with brown and green for a variety of shade.

Captain Bastian Falk was next

Then my warcaster, Major Allister Caine

and last but not least, Deuce, our warjack. I strongly advise that you paling the canon separately and attach it afterwward.
