checking layout with the trees
so the paint dried and the differences in hues/tone completely disappeared. nevermind, it’s only going to be covered over with ground cover.
Now onto the forest. I’ve got to be careful here as i want to give the idea of a pretty dense forest but i need to keep it completely playable and tie in with the event cards. I did this quite well with the corn field from my farm board, the area is clearly a field and your mind sees it as such and knows it’s dense, but at the same time it is entirely flexible and models can move freely around it, only the fence really is a stopper for movement.
So, to give this idea of a thick dense forest but keep it playable i have clumped the trees together, a bit like the cardboard tiles, but i also have added a few singles just to make it feel like it extends beyond the board edges. Let me know if you think i’ve got it right here. The sizes of the trees might make model movement (aka getting your hands in there) a bit difficult, but the trees are quite bendy/flexible.
