Of Epic Proportions (spring clean challenge 26)
Painting in the rain, just painting in the rain..
So it turns out that Speed paints don’t like the rain. I should have worked this out, but I’m a passionate soul, and the idea of painting on my lunch break was too good to pass on.
You can also tell they are speed paints by the passing snail.
So how did I get to this point I hear you ask. Well.
Now that the vampire is built. I took it home and gave it first a black undercoat and then dry brushed white on the bodywork and then silver on the scales to hopefully give them a sence of iridescence. Unfortunately the one of the tail fins broke in the return journey but I’ve decided to go ahead anyway, and glue it later.
I tried to paint in the rain, but as you can see I failed. So I had to finish it indoors.
What I have discovered though (rain withholding) is that it’s quite enjoyable painting using the speed painter pens. So much so I’m going to look in to getting more and a travel kit/project to do over the summer.
