Bob does Weird War
The Americans Part 2, Mechs and Tanks
These models have been done a while, but I’ve been hobbying not blogging, but will yry and vatch up today.
I had purchazed one of the new Konflict Stuarts, but still a Sherman from my previous foray into the game, so I precided to do both.
Now the original plan was to base coat tbem Death Rattle green from the Colour Forge range, but Element in Birmingham hadn’t got in stock so had to go with Salamander Green instead. To dull it down and add shading it was then coated in diluted 50/50 Nuln oil, then a dry brush of Army Painter Army Green with a later highlight with Army Painter Cammo Green , lightened with a bit of white. Tracks machine guns , any chains ,were done in Army Painter Enchamted Steel from their Speedpaint range. Periscopes and lights were 1st done white, then speedpaint Haze blue.
Although there were some decals with model, I went for some of tbe left over decals from my Rubicon collection , mainly M113, and Centurion kits.
Once tbe decals had set I dry brushed them White, before sponging white over the upper surfaces.
The tracks and lower hull were weathered using neat agrax earthshade, then dabbing with sponge litghy for Fresh Snow falls.
