Vampire complete
So, with the tail fins glued on, I finished the Vampire
Am I proud of this model, do I think I’ve done the old model justice? No. I’m not happy with it at all. Painting in the rain was probably a massive no no. And it will mostly likely be taking a bath in asotone in the future. Yet it wasn’t a complete failure
The method I painted it was both enlightening and inspiring and a fun if I’m honest. Going forward I think the idea of painting in my lunch break, or when I can grab a couple of minutes here and there is brilliant. The speed pens are perfect for this. If I can get a brace of models primed and undercoated, this is just a nice little distraction and wonderful wellness trip. Far better than watching YouTube on a tiny screen or doomscrolling social media
Over the summer I’m planning on setting up a new project just to do this way (I will keep a project blog on the adventures). Hopefully I will keep out of the rain.
