Dead Earth Miniatures’ Imperial Army Conquers Sci-Fi Worlds

Dead Earth Miniatures, a range available from the Spectre Miniatures website and sculptor Stephen May, has expanded to now include the awesome Imperial Army for use in your Sci-Fi wargames that might have a touch of the Grimdark to them. These are available physically or as STL files to print at home.
Imperial Army Commissar // Dead Earth Miniatures
Like any good Imperial Army of the far future, this one is led by a Commissar who is guiding his fellow soldiers into the heat of battle. The zealous fury that burns from his orations is enough to make even the most yellow-bellied soldier charge into the teeth of the enemy.
As you can see, the miniature comes with a power weapon for slicing through enemies who get too close and he has his faithful book in hand for when he needs to remind loose-moraled soldiers of what they are fighting for.
A Commissar can't take on the enemy all by themselves and so that's where the grunts of the Imperial Army come in with this new squad.
Imperial Army Squad // Dead Earth Miniatures
This is a solid set of ten miniatures for use when making the backbone of your Imperial Army. There are seven soldiers armed with laser rifles and one with a squad communicator to make sure that the orders are passed on. There are also two soldiers who can use special weapons, including options for a flamethrower, grenade launcher, plasma rifle and melta rifle.
Last but not least, you have a miniature to represent your Sergeant, armed with a pistol and a cruel-looking sword. A superb set of miniatures which carry something of a classic look to them, perhaps from the era of Rogue Trader, but with modern sculpting elevating them all the more.
If you want to blow your enemies away, you've also got the Heavy Weapons teams.
Imperial Army Heavy Weapons // Dead Earth Miniatures
This set comes with six miniatures split between weapon operators and loaders. You have miniatures representing a heavy machine gun, a laser cannon and a heavy bolt thrower. Each set comes with a loader carrying the appropriate ammo. A good way for your lowly soldiers to be able to punch a hole in an advancing vehicle or shred a mass of gibbering aliens.

Oh, nice! Fantastic-looking OG Imperial Guard minis! About the same price as GW, too, so no reason not to take these guys!
35 quid for a ten man squad, reasonable these days. 25 quid for stls? you’re having a laugh..
Yeah, STLs should be no more than half the price of physical, I think. Maybe less, even, but certainly no more.

I’d argue that STL files in general are sold for too little.
25 pound for the ability to print an infinite amount of squads is peanuts.
@limburger – thing is, nobody really wants “infinite” amounts of squads. This is a bit of a 3D printing fallacy – the idea that you can just print hundreds of them. Sure, you can, but you probably won’t
I like the look of these. They go on the list.
They look like updated sculpts from the first Imperial Guard plastic box set. I dig!
These look very nice but they also feel like they’re sailing mighty close to the wind – they’re very, very similar to the original plastic imperial guard (which is doubtless why I like them so much)
