I usually love anthropomorphic mini lines, but the Raging Rodents look… not great. Like something I would expect to have been made in the last 70s or early 80s when people were enthusiastic about making minis, but haven’t quite got the knack of dynamic poses or detailed sculpting down yet.
IMHO, Spirits of the Forest should get a shout out for a few reasons:
1) Gonzalo Aguirre Bisi and Team have created yet another visually stunning game and if you liked Dead Man’s Doubloon’s and Tao Long it is from the same team. Also, if you back this an Tao Long you get the Red Pearl in the Tao Long expansion available later this year.
2) The game is a quick abstract two to four player game that you can teach in 5min but is really very strategic AND as a bonus, there is Solo Varients
3) Every game you purchase from them this year they will plant a tree.
Hey @turbocooler, I couldn’t agree more as I love Thundergryph Games and think Spirits of the Forest looks like a beautiful game. I did however add it to last week’s Kickstarter tracker as it had begun prior to this week’s review 🙂 You can find the list of last weeks entries here: http://www.beastsofwar.com/eventslist/week-kickstarter-12/ Az
