You know Catalyst as the tabletop game company managing the BattleTech and Shadowrun properties, and more recently expanding with new worlds like Leviathans and several standalone tabletop products. Now, in partnership with XP Network and Alpha Clash, we move into the video game space with a deep library ready for fresh development.

Monarch Game Studios is the newly-formed publisher bringing our titles to life, founded by people who have built some of the biggest names in games, entertainment, and technology, including over 150 AAA titles. Led by Lou Castle, co-founder of Westwood Studios, and supported by XP Network to bring all players (and investors) more rewards.

Today, Monarch’s investment round is open, offering you ownership in the studio making it happen.

A few things worth knowing

• Founders and leadership with track records at Apple, Amazon, EA, Zynga, and Plaid, including the engineer who led the iOS 11 App Store redesign.
• CEO Louis Castle co-founded Westwood Studios, created Command & Conquer, and holds six Game of the Year awards, a BAFTA, and two Lifetime Achievement awards.
• Gaming is projected to reach $300 billion by 2028, with 3.58 billion players worldwide.

The McKinley report they are referring to:

Keep in mind that Microsoft already has a system like this. What Monarch want to do is nothing new …
Ubisoft do it too.
I’d also argue that it does not make for good games either as they will use gambling mechanics to trigger addiction.

The entire website has more red flags than a Chinese military parade.

Late delivering multiple kickstarter projects.

Failing to post an update in over 4 months to those same kickstarter backers.

Claiming to have ‘lost the login details’ for their own account on kickstarter.

CGL look incompetent at best and downright scammers at worst.

Investing in this would be madness.

You’d think that kickstarter has things in place for such a thing … unless they got banned for some reason.

I think it was either on their Discord or a TND on youtube.

The daft thing is that the excuse is so lame because you can see when they last logged on to KS. Currently this was Aug 31 2026.
